Motor shows might be on hiatus in most countries but in China, they are back. Below is a list of expected world premieres for this week’s event in Chengdu with another model from Great Wall Motor added today.
BYD Song Plus: new SUV has a large grille and is powered by the company’s BYD476ZQB 1.5-litre petrol turbo engine
BYD Song Plus EV: reportedly has an NEDC range of up to 505 km and has a 120 kW motor, is 4,705 mm long with a 2,765 mm wheelbase
Haval Dagou ‘Big Dog’: B06 project is GWM’s 4,620 mm long replacement for the sixteen year old Hover/H5 SUV
Nio EC6: an NEDC range of up to 615 km is claimed for this 4,850 mm long crossover which debuted in pre-production form at last month’s Shenzhen motor show
Ora ES11 Good Cat: Great Wall continues to expand its EV brand (and the number of unusually named models) with this 4,235 mm five-door hatchback
Ora R2 White Cat: a 3,625 mm long EV offered with choice of 34 kWh and 38 kWh battery packs and NEDC ranges of 360 or 401 km
Wey Tank 300: yet another unusual name from a Great Wall brand for this SUV, formerly known only by its P01 development code
Wuling Victory: six-seat MPV/minivan which should use SAIC’s R architecture and the first vehicle for a new Wuling logo
