Lexington Celebrations Committee to host Veterans Day events – News – Watertown TAB

The Lexington Celebrations Committee will be holding a Veterans’ Day car parade at 1 p.m. Nov. 11.

A fire truck and police cruiser will lead the parade of five classic cars, motorcycles, a float with Minutemen and other cars.

The parade will leave the Community Center at 1 p.m. and continue along Massachusetts Avenue, past the Green where the Girl Scouts will have a color guard to salute the veterans. The parade will end at St. Brigid’s.

At 11 a.m. that morning, the Celebrations Committee will be broadcasting on LexMedia a 10- to 15-minute program about Veterans’ Day.

The Celebrations Committee will also co-host an online event, “Lexington Veterans’ Motivations and Memories,” with Cary Library at 1 p.m. Nov. 2. The program will feature Lexington veterans sharing memories of their service as well as whey they chose — or didn’t choose — to serve. There will be a Q&A session also.
