The marble foyer and entryway are beautiful entering the home at 4440 Gratiot Ave., but that’s not what demands guests’ attention. 

Instead it’s the view of Lake Huron, prominently displayed through gorgeous Georgian arch windows homeowner Sandi Barrett installed.  

The moment she walks into the home and looks through those windows is her favorite part of the house, which is listed for sale for $995,900 in Port Huron. 

“With this view you’ve gotta have windows everywhere,” she said. 

Built in 1979, the home with over 3,240 square feet is listed with three bedrooms, 2.2 baths and professional decor throughout. There are two garages, one attached with two spaces and one detached with three spaces, and a 16-foot, steel-reinforced concrete seawall listed among the amenities. 

Thomas and Sandi Barrett are selling the home with plans to move to Florida.

Over the years, Barrett has made many modifications to the home, which she described as a “blend of traditional, antique and eclectic” with a “North Carolina feel.” 

Walking into the home, once people tear their eyes away from the windows, they find a sunroom with heated marble floors to keep it cozy and hand painted walls, which Barrett did herself.

Moving forward into the great room there’s a fireplace surrounded by marble. Beyond the doors with the mirrors hanging on them, one finds a cozy wet bar and fridge tucked away.
